Memories!
Good morning Mount Miguel! This is M-A-T, your EDucational BROADcasting system...bringing you the MORNING BULLetin!
I don't even remember who picked it up after you left, but it was never the same! You created a brand!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Happy Birthday
my commute
This morning and afternoon I listened to K-Earth 101 on TuneIn Radio while going and coming to work. I remember my engineer, in 1977, describing a cell phone call to me. I thought he was nuts! Fast forward to today!
You sound SOFA KING great! K-Earth sounds really hot.

Wow, I hadn't thought of this show in years. I was a contestant in about 1975. I remember the answer to one of the questions was "beret", but I mispronounced it "bur-ret", you gave it to me anyway! Also, my little brother was in the studio audience and dropped his Star Trek doll and let out a blood curdling scream that you managed to almost (but not quite completely) edit out when the show aired! Thanks for the clips of the show. Brings back some great memories!

Hi SHOTGUN FROM FAIRWAY DR. BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!
Hi Shotgun,
From: Julie (Hofstetter) Now I' am Julie "O" Legally. Your Dad gave me that name.
I am living in Las Vegas selling Real Estate. I am being filmed currently for a Realty TV Show. I am also on face book (Julie O Miller). You have a great site. Brings back alot of memories. You were my first real crush. I use to buy you Candy bars. And you were Santa for me and my brother. Love Ya!!!
HI, "Shotgun" Tom Kelly
My family and I moved out here, from Rhode Island, to San Diego, in 1969...I was not yet in kinderergarten. My older sister and brother listened to AM radio, so I remember you on the air, back in 1971. I have heard you on KGB, KCBQ, B-100, and K-Earth! I went to a KCBQ Reunion, when the oldies format, was being played, some years back. I got to meet you there, and I still have the autographed picture of you, from that occasion. You are one the most memorable DJs, that has ever been on the air. Shotgun, you are a legend to me, and countless others, in Southern California. Please keep playing the hits!!!
Tom, Any idea what
Tom,
Any idea what happened to Christopher Cain? I've tried to track him down without any luck. Stay well my friend!

Thank you for taking the time on Nov 22 to meet with my wife and I . I know you were running late and needed to get to your show . I hope we get the chance to meet you again in the future and Thank you and KRTH for the trip to Hawaii .

Thanks! and hope you feel better soon!
Thanks again for qualifing me for Hawaii! It's my 101st try.... I won't stop till I win! lol
And get better soon!
Take it easy and hope to hear from you on Wednesday!
I can't help myself!
Hi: As a devoted listener to your station and to you throughout the years, I was a little disappointed to hear you say "Her and her boyfriend"when referring to one of your contestants on the air. "She and her boyfriend" would have been less grating on my ears. You certainly have entertained me and kept my spirit alive by playing the music that makes me happy.
SUNDAY'S VISIT
Look forward meeting you Thursday at the BPSC "IRWIN Awards"
Hi Shotgun Tom! The more I go through your website the more it seems we have in common. I'm from Escondido, or Northern San Diego County... have always seemed to have a beard, listend to you on KOGO and even promoted the wonderful Wolfman Jack event at Palomar College. Have had the pleasure of meeting many of the same wonderful celebs as you, and being an autograph collector myself have some of the same signatures... all very cool and next week I understand you'll be presenting me with the BPSC IRWIN Award's "Publicist of the Year Award." I now work with Dr. Pat Allen and were heading off to NYC to do the More Magazine "Reinvention Convention" which will be a lot of fun and then will be back in town for Thursday's BPSC IRWIN Award festivities! I'm excited!
All the best, Jim Hallowes
Michigan Meijer's shopper
Hi Tom: Saw you in a local Meijer's shopping last night in Michigan. Hope your diet pop taste test was a success and you made it back safely to LA. Thanks for being so nice to strangers - we realized how you just never know who you'll run into when you least expect it. We talked about my daughter, an A & R rep for RCA, and you were so pleasant. Good luck with your continued success on the radio!

Great memories of KCBQ
Dear Tom:
I really enjoyed seeing the video of the recent unveiling of the KCBQ monument. And it was especially good to see Jack Vincent (at age 92) taking part in the ceremony.
I must have left the San Diego area just before your KCBQ tenure (although you may have been at KGB for some of the time I was there), but I certainly recall all of the DJs just prior to your "time frame."
I have such fond memories (from my late teens and early 20s) listening to KCBQ and hearing such air personalities as Bill Bishop, Shadoe Jackson, Jack Vincent, Happy Hare, Johnny Holiday and Seamus Patrick O'Hara.
I was such a KCBQ "addict" that even after I moved to Casper, Wyo., I often made it a point to listen to the station for an hour or so, immediately after the power increase to the daytime 50,000-watt signal. [That was about the only time I could pick up KCBQ in Casper because of the strong nighttime signal of KVOO in Tulsa on the same frequenct ... although when KVOO would sign off the air on early Monday morning for transmitter maintenance, I was able to listen to Jack Vincent, even despite the station's 5,000-watt directional signal].
LONG TIME NO SEE!!!!
GREAT TO HEAR YOU THIS MORNING ON DSC!!!
It was GREAT to hear you on DSC this morning!! Listening to your gravelly voice brought only happy thoughts of a great childhood I had here in

Hey Shotgun.
I'm Ralph, you use to be our Voice Announcer here at WFLX FOX 29 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Our producer at the time, Tami Whitacre brought you on board back in the mid '80's. You met Miguel, my producer counterpart at the time at a Promax meeting in LA.
Even if you don't remember...you should remember Bob and Tami. They worked with your at a station...the only ID I can think of is Channel 69 in San Diego.
Just wanted to say hi and wanted to know if you've heard from Bob and Tami.
God Bless those pipes of yours! Listened to a few clips and you sound great.

Hi "Shot Gun Tom Kelly"!
It was fun meeting you at Cecil's Bar B Que this last weekend. My daughter Angela and I enjoyed your company and how down to earth you are. I heard the story about Stevie Wonder on your website I was in tears just listening to it. How special is that?! What an honor to be in the presence of both of you. I look forward to hearing about when you get your star on Hollywood next year.
Don't ever lose the hat it's your trademark I would not noticed it was you that my daughter and I used to watch on KUSI in San Diego and the DISCO 10 TV show.
Stay Blessed as I can see you are!

Just a quick note to thank you for making me a winner for Hawaii. Good job pulling my name from all the people that qualified.
It was a real pleasure and sooo very much fun to talk to you. I am sure glad that my husband did not hang up when you called.
Perhaps when we come to the station to pick up my price I will be able to thank you again in person.
Much thanks to KEARTH 101, MY favorite station as always.

Hi, Shots!
Hello, Shots! Glad to see you're still at it in sunny SoCal. First became familiar with you while stationed in San Diego with the USN from 1975-77. Then, saw your smiling face and signature shout on TV kids shows back in the Indianapolis market. I think you know a buddy of mine, Buster Bodine (Michael Hanks). He and I keep in touch via e-mail since I've resided in St. Louis since 1981.
Speaking of the LA market, I catch Jay Thomas and Magic Matt on 70s on 7 at Sirius XM from time-to-time.
Take care, and keep on cranking out those great tunes!

Hi Tom!
My name is Kris. I wanted to say hello to you because I haven't seen you sense we were in the Jr.Achievement group at kogo in San Diego. I am thrilled that you have attained so much success. I knew you were going to thrive because you had soooo much talent. I never really got off or made my connection in the radio arena; but I am backtracking and trying to get into doing voiceovers.

Meeting
Tom,
It was good to meet you today at the Jack In The Box in San Clemente. Keep up the good work. I listen to K-Earth as much as I can, but sometimes the signal is not so strong in San Diego. Who knows, maybe you'll be broadcasting in San Diego again. It's nice to know that I'm not alone, making a regular drive from San Diego to LA.

Hi Shotgun,
This is probably the only chance I'll get to say hi again, we met aloooong time ago when you jockey'd at KCBQ.....I had the opportunity to work at old KDEO / Magic 91 as a DJ too...love dem oldies.
Shotgun, once I remember during a Jerry Lewis Telethon that you were doing an intro for the telethon and it started with you stating your name was Tom Kelly Schneider. Is this something you remember doing?
Miss you here in San Diego where you started Tom. Miss the Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow you used to do. I can hear you on KRTH when I get the reception. I do hope you visit San Diego once in a while, I do believe you're a native like me (if so, what high school did you attend?).
Enough of the jabber from me, hope to hear from you. Take care and rock on!
Yours, Chris "Potsie" Gulyas
Glad to see you are
Glad to see you are still surviving and thriving even in today's radio world. You are my ultimate radio brother. Working together in Bakersfield before making it to the major markets and network radio. While I was not sure about myself I knew you were a lock for the bigtime almost 40-years ago. A true radio natural. Rooting for you all the way everyday!!!
See you soon.
I'm glad your still alive!
Hey shotgun! Man I am soooo glad that your still alive! Like many children who are now grown up; I would like to say that your were soo great to see and hear as a child back in the late 80's and early 90's! I would love to meet you in person but unfortunatly I am stuck here in Sunny San Diego! Please come back so all the cool cats here can once again feel your coolness baby!
Happy New Years from MD
Morning Shotgun!
I like the new site. Guess I have been busy and hadn't check out things while my wife has been in Baghdad. But she will be home soon!!
I am continuing to spread the K-Earth vibes here on the East Coast. When anyone comes into my office, they want to know who I am streaming. Then I start hearing K-Earth throughout the lab. Gotta love it.
Have a blessed New Years. We'll be listening here in MD. Take care.

Yo Shotgun, My favorite
Yo Shotgun,
My favorite memories of you are from when you so expertly filled in for the infamous Uncle Ed as host of Nite Time Live for a couple of weeks back in the day. It was most likely the best two weeks of shows NTL saw during that period.
I'm hoping that my wife Linda, my lab Willy and I will be moving back to San Diego in 2009 after more than 20 years on Cape Cod.
Let's get together. Go AZTECS!
Merry Christmas Shotgun.
Re: "Shotgun" Tom - Whats up!
Mr "Shotgun",
It's been years since I seen or heard of your voice or "presence" in San Diego. I remember as a kid you were the "it" guy on KUSI-TV for the the KUSI Kids Club. Funny, when i doing random searches your name popped and checked out your page. It's been years but it's good your still in the entertainment business. When you coming back to San Diego?
Once in a while I still check out the signed picture of you and President Reagan at The Barbecue Pit in Fletcher Hills/El Cajon. Man, that takes me back.
When you get a chance, you should upload to your website your classic "bbbbbbb--ahhhhhhhhhhh" sound clip. That was funny when I was a kid.
Thanks Shotgun Tom,
Andy

No, I'm not that Rick Roberts, I'm the real one, I just saw a TV ad you did for Olhausen and I said holy sh&% that's Shotgun Tom. It was great to see a fellow well experienced person (AKA somewhat old guy) looking good and sounding better. I've listened to you at KCRQ and KBG in the 70's, you used to stop by the Baskin Robbins I worked at in San Diego near San Diego State. Stay healthy and keep smiling, I liked your Reagan tribute and pictures.

Wow Shotgun! It's finally great to put a face to your name and voice! You have such a great "voice". Everyday I find myself in a hurry to get in my car and turn you on! I hope to hear back from you one of these days. Keep doing what you're doing... You're an Icon in my book!
